Chicago Business Club
The following are types of programs organized by the Chicago Business Club:
  • Networking Mixer (Business After Hours)

Our evening networking events are open to general public and are generally held at local restaurants in the greater Chicagoland area. Typical hours are 6-8 PM. We always provide light appetizers, and drinks are normally on your own. Recent average attendance is around 40. You are likely to meet business owners and professionals of different kind there. There are no presentations at our business-after-hours meetings, so you can expect 2 hours of quality networking time.

  • Lunch & Network

Our lunch session follow a typical lunch-and-learn format. They start at noon and last for one hour and thirty minutes. The agenda includes: networking time, presentation, discussion and of course a lunch meal. We are very careful about inviting speakers to these sessions, as the goal for them is to educate and not to sell. At the same time, all of our speakers are high quality professionals, who have put their ideas into practice either by developing their businesses, or working with clients. A typical participant is a business owner or a professional. These sessions have traditionally been held at and co-organized with the Illinois Small Business Development Center at the Elgin Community College. Occasionally, we will move the program to a different location.

  • Lunch & Learn Tech

Description of our Lunch & Learn Tech sessions is very much the same as the above Lunch & Network, with the difference in specific nature of presentation and discussion. We try to keep both of these around technology subjects. You do not however have to be a technology expert to attend and enjoy these. In fact our goal is to bring and explain the technology to the general public. Our tech lunch sessions have traditionally been held at the Microsoft Store at the Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg.

  • Networking Breakfasts

These meetings are for members and invited guests only. The group meets twice a month, every second and fourth Tuesday of the month at the IHOP Restaurant in Rosemont. Meetings last one hour and start always at 7:30 AM. The agenda includes networking, presentation and a discussion.

  • Special Events

Special events are organized on a less regular basis and less frequently than all of the above. These are larger meetings for about 100-200 participants, usually for half a day. Each event is focused on a specific subject or area (marketing, start-ups, etc.). We often partner with other organizations and companies to organize and host these.
